The GS2000 60 is the next step on from the GS1000 featuring the same thick bodied, bound, satin finished GS attitude, but now with the pickup combination customers kept asking us for.
The original GS1000 was a single pickup machine and it did that job brilliantly. But through our bespoke builds, we kept seeing the same request come up again and again: “Can I add a neck pickup?” So for the new stock range, we’ve done exactly that.
You still get the thick 44mm mahogany body, chambered construction, roasted flame maple neck, ebony fingerboard, cream binding, matched headstock, Gotoh 510 hardware and full satin finish. But now the GS2000 adds a neck P90 alongside the bridge humbucker, giving you a much broader spread of sounds without losing the stripped back GS feel.
The bridge humbucker gives you the punch, drive and sustain you’d expect, while the neck P90 brings in that open, raw, thwacky single coil character. Add the fact that our humbuckers are coil splitable into the mix and you’ve got a proper greatest hits setup: humbucker, P90 and single-coil style tones all living in one guitar.
